Team Management

Invite team members, assign roles, and manage access to your SegOps tenant.

Roles and Permissions#

Every team member has a role that determines what they can do within a tenant:

  • Owner — full access including billing, deleting the tenant, and managing all team roles. There is exactly one Owner per tenant.
  • Admin — can do everything except change billing and delete the tenant. Can invite/remove members.
  • Member — can create and edit segments, trigger computes, and manage connectors.
  • Viewer — read-only access to all resources. Cannot modify anything.

Inviting Team Members#

  1. Navigate to Settings → Team
  2. Click Invite Team Member
  3. Enter the invitee's email address
  4. Select their role (Admin, Member, or Viewer)
  5. Click Send Invitation

The invitee receives an email with a link to accept the invitation. They must have or create a SegOps account to join.

Accepting Invitations#

When an invitation email arrives, click the Accept Invitationlink. If you don't have a SegOps account, you'll be prompted to sign up first. After accepting, the new tenant appears in your tenant switcher in the top navigation.

Removing Members#

Owners and Admins can remove members. Navigate to Settings → Team, find the member row, and click Remove. The member immediately loses access to the tenant but their SegOps account is not deleted — they may still access other tenants they belong to.

Warning
You cannot remove the Owner of a tenant. To transfer ownership, contact support.

Multi-Tenant Access#

A single SegOps user account can belong to multiple tenants, each with a different role. Use the tenant switcherin the top navigation to switch between workspaces. Each tenant's data is fully isolated — events, segments, connectors, and API keys are never shared between tenants.

This is useful for agencies managing multiple clients, or enterprises with separate brand/region workspaces.
