Usage Metering#
Events are counted at ingest time. Every event successfully queued via POST /api/ingestion/track/ or POST /api/ingestion/track/batch/ counts toward your monthly limit, regardless of whether it passes schema validation downstream.
Your current usage and monthly limit are visible in Settings → Billing.
Overage Behavior#
When your monthly event limit is reached, the ingestion API returns:
429 Too Many Requests — monthly event limit exceeded
Events continue to be rejected until the limit resets at the start of your next billing cycle, or you upgrade your plan. The limit resets on the 1st of each month UTC.
Upgrading Your Plan#
- Navigate to Settings → Billing
- Click Upgrade Plan
- Select the plan you want
- Enter your payment details (powered by Stripe)
- Confirm — the new limits take effect immediately
Enterprise Plans#
For high-volume use cases, custom SLAs, dedicated infrastructure, SSO/SAML, and professional onboarding, contact [email protected]. Enterprise contracts include a custom event volume, custom API rate limits, and a 99.9% uptime SLA.
Cancellation#
You can cancel your paid plan at any time from Settings → Billing → Cancel Plan. Your account reverts to the Free tier at the end of the current billing period. Data is retained for 90 days after cancellation.
